Urban Ships
This period of traveling has led me to create fictional stories with the photographic media that I always use as a starting point for my various creative projects.
Back on the west coast, in the Brest region, my attraction to the image is much simplified. After years of photographic manipulation, my latest work tends towards abstract and contemplative visuals, leaving aside the informative and sequential nature of a photographic series. I sometimes add plastic work by different techniques, in order to transform my image into a physical object in its own right.

entry description
Here, the eye oscillates between the real and the unreal, in a universe where the notions of human orientations and scales are not really present. Most images have no sky materialized, with clouds, replaced by a complementary solid color or echoing an element of the image. The lines are ephemeral, geometric and repetitive. Everything is minimalist. With a long lens, I break the depth of my images. Sometimes I will project light effects using a flash. However, they are elements of everyday life, which we all perceive surreptitiously. The visual effect and only because of a restrictive and unconventional vision for our brain. There is no overall vision, but just a detail. Each building becomes for me a ship, an entity that moves in the sky. Panoramic format, 2016, 25 pictures in serie.about the photographer
