title
Happy Identity in motion. Cuba and the countless questions
The desperate and never quelled hope of revival emerges in a social environment that until now has not been prey to anxiety consumerist and inhuman pace of global competition. An environment of people who live, maybe in a hard way with few material possessions, conscious of the financial constraints, but serene in facing the burdens of daily life, although occasionally they may lack water, electricity or soap. What will the end of the embargo bring? The US companies will export all types of technology: mobile phones, televisions, recorders, computers and software in this country, poor for Internet and telecommunications infrastructure. What will the opening of borders bring? What impact will it have on the people who, together, managed to defeat the enemy coming out of a completely asymmetrical comparison? Will Cubans lose that light mixed with melancholy pride that make them so unique? What will change after Fidel’s death? What the new US Presidency will change again?
