Those who have surmounted the successive obstacles which came up in front of them and end up reaching some peaceful place to live, namely in Turkey or in Europe, continue to live surrounded by barriers: from the wall that protects the Port of Patras, to the control spots in the refugee camps of the Balkans, the confined rooms in the temporary shelters in Athens and the sea horizon seen from the beaches near the port of Piraeus or in front of the fence built on the Serb-Hungarian border, the refugee condition is essentially the same: living in a limbo where the present is stricted controled and the future is permanently postponed.
This project is being developed since 2015, in countries such as Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Turkey and Greece, where I've contacted with several people and communities from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, that aim, most times, to reach a better live in the north of Europe.
I’ve training in photojournalism with CENJOR (Porto), photography in IPF (Porto) and an internship at Global Imagens Agency (Porto).
Currently I live and work as a freelance photographer in Porto.
