entry description
In 1912 my maternal grandparents headed to the island of Trinidad from India to work as indentured servants on the sugar "estates". Recently I have begun researching this history and in the process discovered other histories. The people I have been photographing are family members for now but whats most interesting are all the versions of how our ancestors ended up in Trinidad. I shoot them while we have these conversations.about the photographer
