I focus on this social issue couple years ago. I went to China last year, and I found this lonely old woman at a small village which is near Chengdu-- the capital of SiChuan provence. Her children went to Beijing over 2 years, and they contacted each other only by cellphone.
When I took this picture, she was cooking lunch, and her dog was beside her; some sunlight came from a single window.

Young people who lives in Chinese countryside wants to go to city and earn live, as city can afford more opportunities than countryside. As a result, a special group named "remained elder" came into being, and the separation from their children will inevitably affect their development in less-than-positive ways.I focus on this social issue couple years ago.
