Four months in Kyrgyzstan, portraiting this unknown country with a view camera, threw faces and landscapes. The background subject is the break between young westernised people who were born after the fall of the USSR, and older people who really lived through it and are still feeling a sort of nostalgia towards the occupation and control of Soviet Union. More broadly, this documentary covers the modern vagrancy of this country that endured the fall of a dominent ideology and the emergence of an other one, with all the problems that a change that large entails: doubts, hopes, and social and cultural issues. The remains of achieved times, man's traces in forgotten places, are mixed to population's looks frozen in transition.back to gallery
