The situation in which the Photograph was taken was by coincidence. The woman in the picture, named Wies and her daughter came to me for a Photo-shoot. During this shoot I was inspired by her, and immediately after I asked her if I was allowed to make some pictures of her, she was very cooperative. In my profession as a photographer it’s rare that older women come to me for a photoshoot, so I was excited and enjoyed her presents and openness. The dress and glasses she is wearing are part of my own collection. Wies posed like a professional and did exactly what I wanted her to do. By editing the picture I was able to show the perfect (story-telling) wrinkles of this beautiful woman. A few weeks later I asked her to pose like Iris Apfel, a beautifull older woman as well. We both enjoyed this and the pictures were great again.back to gallery
