Composition A-12.
Photo taken in 2017 on 4x5 film and using large format camera.
Boychev trained film photography and photography printing techniques at Wroclaw School of Photography Pho-Bos, Academy of Artistic Photography in Wroclaw and Film School Lodz. Inspired by the Bauhaus and Constructivism movements and Polish real avant-garde artists Katarzyna Kobro and Władysław Strzemiński, her works are dominated by geometric forms, shapes, and order. From the initial concept design based on universal rules, the props making and arranging the still life, through the photo shooting on 4x5 film using view camera, to the final stage of making the silver gelatin print on archival paper, her abstract work of art is performed with a thorough precision and engagement at every stage. Being fascinated by the unlimited power of the human mind, in her work she provokes the viewer to recognise more than he sees.

entry description
A perception is formed somewhere between black and white. What one can see depends a great deal on where he stands and on what sort of person he is. Geometric forms and order dominate my work. Being fascinated by the unlimited power of the human mind, in my work I provoke the viewer to recognize more than he sees.Photo taken in 2017 on 4x5 film and using large format camera.
