Near where I live there is a kind of salt lake, the Mar Menor, with small islands in its center. In winter, after a storm, small precedents of the lands dragged by rainwater tend to form. It is not strange that after a storm the wind changes to the south and then, in winter, what we call these places "calimas" are formed.
