entry description
It was mid-winter and I was driving around the Snaefellsnes peninsula. I rounded a bend in the road and came across some empty farmhouses. The weather was closing in and the wind was very strong but the sunrise was also just starting. Up in the valley I noticed a cloud bank descending as the sun rose and wondered if it would reach a house there before the sun hit it. The layers in the clouds were moving and creating waves and the colours of the sky were incredible. I managed to compose this shot sheltered behind my car in between wind gusts. I waited for a long time and this moment was the closest the sun came to breaking through to hit the house. After this the clouds descended and the light was gone.about the photographer
