Landscapes from the Unconscious
Through overlays of photographs, taken from different situations of reality, surreal landscapes are created that compare the beautiful as a symbol of the infinite being of the planet and modern human arrogance, which seeks to imitate and replace it, but which, in the presence of itself, it ends up showing all its limits of substance and purpose.
The series is entirely handcrafted in analog format, each photograph is printed by hand with silver salts on Illford barited paper and certified Fine Art.
Marcello Vigoni was born in Milan in 1979.
After studying graphics and photography, he founded in 2001, with two friends, the web site Tuninglove.com. Devoted to the production of standard cars, where he works with photography in editorial key, publishing works on several industry headlines nationwide.
In 2005 he founded the TLS Communications Agency communication, and he dedicates all his time to communication. With TLS he realizes various world-wide advertising campaigns, industrial and conceptual photography services.
His personal research brings him to deepen and experiment with different techniques and photographic languages, approaching, in full antithesis with modern and digital modern times, to work analogically and choose black and white as a definitive expressive figure.
The press and the slow time of reflection are interpreted as fundamental expressions of the work itself, chosen for the integral parts of the message and the creative photographic process that ends with a real work.
