entry description
Selections from “Ritual” -A body of work that examines the intersection of seduction, mysticism, and performance within the realm of femininity reproduction. The images were taken in the studio on 4x5 color film. Playing within the photographic genres of Still Life and self-portraiture, I have constructed sculptural installations comprised of personal symbolic objects and inserted my body into the composition of the images. This work speaks to the idea of ancient fertility rites and harkens to the veiled eroticism of vintage burlesque performers. This project explores the connection between mating rituals, sexuality, and power within the context of domestic relationships.about the photographer
