He started photographing in 1971. He attended all the workshops of the "Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie d'Arles", where he learned from his masters: Sudre, Denis Brihat, Charles Harbutt (who was at that time head of Magnum New York), Ralph Gibson and Ansel Adams, with whom he was keeped in touch, he eagerly followed him teaching on the "zone system”.
His vision on intimist photography is situated between the European Joseph Sudek and the American from the West coast Ed. Weston and the New Yorker Ralph Gibson.
