Odyssey
'Odyssey' expresses for me the journey to the unknown.... It is from a body of work that expresses Light beyond Liminal Space. Liminal space is the gap we occupy between not knowing and the Ah-ha moment of insight. My images rely on the association of light with understanding, enlightenment or insight.
"To follow knowledge like a sinking star, beyon the utmost bounds of human thought." Alfred Lord Tennyson - Ulysses.
Associate Diploma in Visual Arts – Northern Rivers College of Advanced Education New South Wales, Australia
Over two decades of creating and designing stained glass for churches.
Recent interest in photography has been inspired by my fascination with how light behaves as it is reflected, blocked and transmitted through transluscent materials. I began to explore space, light, shadow, reflections, transluscence and luminosity with close up photography.

entry description
Having worked with stained glass where the major visual impact comes from the interaction of light through glass, I am fascinated with how light behaves as it is reflected, blocked and transmitted through transluscent materials. Manipulating surfaces and shapes and carefully placed lighting, creates abstract compositions that suggest space and form.'Odyssey' expresses for me the journey to the unknown....
