Aquabeads
It’s this repellent property that has generated perfect spheres of water that almost float beneath the surface of the feather. Observed through a macro perspective you can admire up close the beauty of these impeccably round and translucent water pearls, revealed in these photos in an abstract way.
I was also intrigued in this project by the influence of light when crossing these drops, which due to the optical phenomenon of refraction created by water, they have the ability to deflect the light that passes through it, functioning exactly like a magnifying glass. Depending on the angle of incidence of the light in the drop and the formation of the feather stripes, it resulted in quite distinct textures and contours, creating sharp contrasts and well-defined lines.
Ever since I started shooting, my passion for this kind of art has grown naturally out of the desire to capture unique perspectives. With each image I hope to be able to portray the beauty of the object photographed showing its unique elements and patterns.
Through my work I look for an abstract but still natural result, developing an individual perspective and allowing you to also appreciate this new standpoint. My style can best be described as vivid and naturalistic, using simple compositions and combining lights, contrast and colors to capture even the most fleeting details, emphasizing how beautiful and intriguing is the planet where we live and call home.

entry description
In this photographic series it is intended to reveal the interaction of only two natural elements, bird feathers and water droplets. Due to the inherent ability of bird plumage to repel water, its feathers are naturally impermeable, and no drop can penetrate, keeping birds always dry. It’s this repellent property that has generated perfect spheres of water that almost float beneath the surface of the feather.
