Construction of the Hotel Windsor commenced in 1883. It was originally known as the Grand Hotel. The building was extended and became known as the Grand Coffee Palace in 1888. It was re-named the Windsor Hotel in 1920.
Steve has had a long fascination with architecture and cityscapes, so he naturally gravitated to photographing architectural subjects which has become his passion. He also has an interest in waterscapes and is starting to delve into streetscapes and street photography.
He works primarily in black and white, frequently using long exposure techniques to conceive his vision. He enjoys creating moody minimalist images that emphasise the form, structure and features of architecture and cityscapes. Recently he has become more experimental using different techniques in Photoshop to envision an altered reality.
