After long battles the European people realized they were not going to make it happen. They took back great amount of wealth but not everything.
They left behind cultural traces in these lands. Not only when trying to conquer it but also with the arrival of new migrants longing to stay in this warm and beautiful place.
The natives received them in peace, but did not give them anything for free. The new comers were and are still second class citizens.

In her artistic life photography was last, but curiously the germ can be tracked in her stage pieces. The experimentation with objects, dancers and actors produced live photographs. the lighting was a more important element than the texts or the dance movements.

In 1942 Columbus got to Abya Yala. He and his people tried to conquer the continent.After long battles the European people realized they were not going to make it happen. They took back great amount of wealth but not everything.

about the photographer
Tamara Mesri is an Argentinian photographer and stage artist born in 1974 and a self made artist. She studied choreographic composition, dance, drama and photography with excellent teachers. She directed the Copetín al paso theater-dance company from 2002 to 2016 and performed in several plays. She also studied Art criticism (UBA).In her artistic life photography was last, but curiously the germ can be tracked in her stage pieces. The experimentation with objects, dancers and actors produced live photographs. the lighting was a more important element than the texts or the dance movements.
