The Heavenly Banquet
" A man accustomed to make his soul a mirror where the whole universe comes to reflect" Charles Baudelaire
This image comes as a starting point from a series of self-portraits titled "to be an angel", where the author for the first time used a tripod for its realization.
Self-taught artist using different mediums, design the manipulation and retouching of images
- by analogy with the abstract pictorial movement of the 1950's - like a "digital action". The digital creation then appears as a movement of existence, unthinking & pulsional in the present moment,
guided only by her intuition. The Creation who so bears witness to the spirit in action and and the spirit moving in action. The software for retouch and image processing becomes as a mirror for the photographer for question the mysteries of the photographic act,
as a poetic gesture, to reflect in her own way Beauty, and to find here even its image value. The digital tool then becomes a catalyst, a source of reflection of its interiority - a tool of dreams -
where the photographer like a symbolist poet, would crystallize her interiority, thus allowing the passage -what is beyond what is seen-
the passage of appearances (image initially perceived in the perceptual field) to that of the Worlds of Ideas, in the Platonic sense. The author thus would reflect on the photographic language as Baudelaire had thought, through the verb.
The artist would then manipulate the image (the material) of its own, to build an evocation, in the sense of a cognitive process,
leaving the viewer, facing his own emptiness, facing his own feelings, facing his encyclopedic memory. The evocation of this image thus offers the receiver of this artwork, to find a representation, that will be associated with it,
in this sense build by itself, a mental representation of the World (a concept), without the immediate perception.
