Rust Never Sleeps
Pittsburgh, once the great steel producing engine for America’s growth from the industrial revolution thru the mid-twenty century, now stands with only two remaining operational mills. The older of these two mills is the United States Steel Corporation Edgar Thomson Works, in continuous operation since 1875.
This series of images explore the unique character and infrastructure of this struggling yet resilient historic rivers-edge industrial community.
