Mutatis Mutandis
More deeper it's my search about understanding the world, refined through my travels. These architectures fascinate me because they testify time passing, under the effect of the nature but also of various Men actions. My photos represent the part of Men without ever representing him. We live in a crazy world where we are constantly chasing time and where consumption is one of the main part of our day to day life. I consider my work as a rupture from our hyper-civilized era. I think it can be seen as a different way of seeing our world, the fragility of it, based on memories.
This aesthetic approach aims to question the lived experience of the building. it could be seen like a recollection of forgotten splendor. I don’t want to take a picture of a place just to document it, I try to capture something more.

about the photographer
The French artist NPier photographs places where time seems to have stopped. Inspired by his extensive travels, the works are a discovery of abandoned architecture, exploring structures through stillness and dilapidation. They anchor the viewer in isolated interiors away from the outside world. NPier researches sites extensively before visiting them. In his pictures, the light, the complex composition, and the textures of the interior represent a recollection of forgotten splendor. The photograph captures a perfect moment of stillness within the perpetually moving stream of time.back to gallery
