Phillip F. Schewe is a scientist, photographer, and writer. He has also been a playwright and has written two books: The Grid (published in 2007 by the Joseph Henry Press), a look at how society uses and loses electricity (and declared by NPR as one of the science books of the year); and Maverick Genius (published in 2013 by St. Martin’s Press), a biography of physicist Freeman Dyson.
