I am a retired elementary school teacher in California. I picked up photography four years ago after I retired from teaching. I love photography because it's given me a new language to express myself and be creative. I find that photography is a unique language with many dialects and so it can bring people from all over the world together. You look at someone's photo and think about what they're communicating in their work. Some photos are easy to understand as if eavesdropping on someone's conversation in a grocery store and thinking to yourself, "I know exactly what they're talking about." And, some photos demand more pondering and inferring.I love photography.
