A Far-off Place
Heaven in a wild flower,
The Universe is within my mind.
James Turrell’s concepts about light and perception inspire my experiment of light encased by colors. Imagination blossoms while reality of flowers wilts to colors, shades and shapes. In family garden, I rekindle my favorite childhood play – curiously observing and fearlessly fantasizing.
Colored by emotion, memories and experiences, mysterious images materialized from my mind convey suggestions and invite narratives.
Photography’s boundary thus expands to not only record physical world but expressively capture imaginative cosmos.
With diverse background, my approach towards photography is unconventional.
My works showcase the endless plays of shades and shapes in micro scales, transcribe the surreal universe of my imagination.
