Botanic Loop
The abstract forms in the natural world always fascinated me and through these photos I try to focus attention on a minimal part of the nature of the plants that could normally go unnoticed and invite the viewer to get lost in the personal interpretation of these various helical formations. The series "Botanic Loop" was designed in black and white because it only explores the shape and texture of these spiral-shaped filiform structures which may at first appear to be man-made.
Ever since I started shooting, my passion for this kind of art has grown naturally out of the desire to capture unique perspectives. With each image I hope to be able to portray the beauty of the object photographed showing its unique elements and patterns.
Through my work I look for an abstract but still natural result, developing an individual perspective and allowing you to also appreciate this new standpoint. My style can best be described as vivid and naturalistic, using simple compositions and combining lights, contrast and colors to capture even the most fleeting details, emphasizing how beautiful and intriguing is the planet where we live and call home.
