entry description
Located within the Devil's Garden area of Utah's Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument exists this wonderful slender archway. Known as Metate Arch, this formation is part of many that formed during the middle Jurassic Epoch. (166-174 million years ago). Weathering and Erosion continue to shape and form these beautiful arches and hoodoos. Escalante is also located in one of the darkest areas left in the united states. Other than the light on the rock, there's no artificial light!about the photographer
As a travelling automotive representative, I've had the unique opportunity to travel and see the country in a different way! Since most of my travels are assigned! I recently started to travel with the camera and document these journeys. It has taught me to appreciate how awesome and different these places are!back to gallery
