entry description
The Curved-Concrete series highlights curves in modern Brazilian architectural projects in Brasília, Niterói and Belo Horizonte cities. The term "Curved" alludes to the perhaps most notable signature in Oscar Niemeyer's projects. The preference for images with closed angles seeks to convey an abstract idea, which isolates a basic form and excludes the whole from the construction, favoring simplicity. However, the ambiguous name of the "Concrete" series, in contrast to the Abstract, becomes more appropriate, as the term reinforces the striking presence of this renowned architect and refers to the main brand of the modernist movement: the apparent constructive material often abdicates from finishing.about the photographer
Relatively new to photography, I used to work as an engineer for one of the largest companies in Brazil but it did not take too long to realize photography was my way of communicating to the world. I like to exercise different styles of capturing images, from urban and nature landscapes to street photography, abstract or wide angle architecture and also digitally enhanced images.back to gallery
