Beauty Of Yesterday
The whole concept is about knowing how to value what was and knowing that the end of something is not entirely something bad, because there's development on the foundation of endings. The main character in the concept is the model, who portrays the Ghost of the Past, who shows the beauty of the decayed factory. With a glimmer of hope in her eyes she shows that new opportunities may lie ahead. Rooms can be restored. The whole building can be of value. But all of it can be done if you can see the beauty, the opportunities and take action.
The photoshoot took place in an abandoned factory Põhjala Tehas (Tallinn, Estonia) which is now being built back up again. Today Põhjala Tehas is a nonprofit organization and they are planning and developing the creation of new apartments, offices, shops, a huge greenhouse and different events. The history of the factory is taken into consideration and it is being used as an advantage.
I love to shoot portrait, beauty and fashion. In every photo I want to capture a flash of essence of the moment. Time is different everytime. There's never the same light, never the same motion. Every single moment is undeniably special, some more extraordinary than others. I want to capture these moments.

entry description
As a photographer I want my work to be more than just beautiful. I want it to tell a story. I want to evoke an emotion within the viewer and make them wonder what's beyond. I want to take them into the essence of the moment in which the shot was taken. Here's a story about seeing the beauty in yesterday and the opportunities of tomorrow. The whole concept is about knowing how to value what was and knowing that the end of something is not entirely something bad, because there's development on the foundation of endings.
