Rampant poaching continues to devastate remaining populations of many mystical creatures left on earth. Rather than viewing them through a rifle scope but envisioned through invisible infrared light, the white rhinos are elevated from reality to a fantastical environment to consider that their current life is not worthy enough for existence. This translation is an experiment to create an alternate sensibility to amplify the need to tighten legislation regarding their protection. Series from Beguiling Beasts in Hluhluwe, South Africa. Brendon Kahn is a Berkeley, CA (b. 1990) based artist and graduate of The California College of the Arts in Photography. He follows a path of curiosity through a strange mirage manufactured in the vicinity of contrast and unsettling moments.
