To Be Seen is a portrait of a woman who is purposefully carrying the weight of her shame, fears, and anxiety to free herself from her own cage. This is a raw moment captured in a small stream flowing through a dense jungle in Hawaii. We were two women meeting for the sole purpose to break through our own mental barriers and let our inner selves come out to the light. In the natural morning sunlight Kelly moved through the water silently and it was as if the whole of the jungle dimmed for a moment. To let this woman, who had hid for so long, Be Seen.about the photographer
