Lifeguard
All of a sudden I saw a strange shape in the sand so I wandered over to check it out, as I got closer I realised it was the tyre tracks from the Lifeguards patrolling Bantham beach.
I then noticed there was a few shadows in the water, the lifeguards didn't even realise I was there as they were keeping a close eye on the people in the sea. I quickly got my camera out and put on my wide angle lens to capture the amazing circle as I did this one of the lifeguards got out of the car and shouted it's time to go. One minute later they where gone.
Then I had to go and find the bulldog.
I picked up a camera to help with my recovery and I have been enjoying photography ever since.
It wasn't until 2017 that I ever thought about doing a website/social media and entering competitions as I just made images to keep me positive. But I wanted somewhere to show my work instead of just having it sitting on ten hard drives.
I have been overwhelmed with the results of the competitions I have entered and the feedback to my prints.
Winning The British Life Photography Awards was a very proud moment I will never forget.
After all this time I'm still in love with photography and no doubt I will be making images as long as I'm able.
