entry description
This image was taken on my first trip to Japan. In Tokyo we went to the Ginza District, and I just fell in love with the exterior of this building, known as Ginza Place. The building facade was completed in 2017 by Klein Dytham architecture worked with the Japanese construction company Taisei Corporation and was designed to bring the energy of the neighborhood together with the history and the contemporary culture of the area. The facade takes its inspiration from sukashibori, a type of latticework found in traditional Japanese crafts. There are 5315 aluminium panels used in the facade. The building will inspire many artists in the years to come with all of it's many abstract qualities.back to gallery
