"Birds"
In addition to my art photography, I work professionally as a commercial photographer with a small photo studio. I was creative as a child, but my artistic development intensified in 1996 when I enrolled in the art school in Riga in the field of sculpture. Painting was also part of my training. After graduating, I studied “Visual Communication” at the Latvian Academy of Arts from 2001 to 2007 and received my bachelor’s degree in 2005 and my master’s degree in 2007. In the second half of my studies, I increasingly specialized in photography and worked with the renowned Latvian photographer Gunars Binde. Since 2001 I took part in various exhibitions in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Spain, Belgium and Germany as well as in national and international photo competitions.
