entry description
Jan Blazek takes his final steps on a newly established high line on Yak mountain in British Columbia. After hiking camping gear up almost 1000 meters it took eight people to get this 220m long line set up in blistering winds. Despite the wind numerous people crossed without falling and the line was named "Riding The Yak."about the photographer
I was born in Seattle Washington in the late 80's and lived there till about five years old. After a job relocation for my dad we landed in Denver, Colorado. I grew up like a normal suburban kid and had a serious passion for Skateboarding. At 19 I moved to Australia with my family which is where I fell in love with Photography. After returning to the states I decided to attend Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs. A passion for solo backpacking grew over my time there , and shortly after graduating a friend introduced me to Ice Climbing. I lost sight of my camera for many years and just climbed. Before I knew it, a desire to document and transcend these adventures became un deniable.back to gallery
