The Middle East Before 1798
The geography of The Middle East is heavily paradoxical. Where the origin of three monotheistic religions. "The Fertile Crescent" is a crescent-shaped region in The Middle East. In the photos of this collection, Ox head in the spotlight is a metaphor for The Middle East and Its horns are metaphor for Fertile Crescent.
The nature is Based on “contrast” and the human nature foundations on “inconsistence”. Religions have tried to cover these contradictions by sanctification moral laws as Absolute rules: The ultimate conflict of good and evil in "Battle of Armageddon", The ultimate victory of the oppressed over the oppressor and eventually, limitation of universe to black and white. The white and black backgrounds with a clear border in my photos are metaphors of it.
The Middle East is burning from inside for centuries. The fuel of this flame has been accumulated in the grapes of ethnic sectarian wrath. The Middle East, Until Before French's campaign to Egypt at 1798 and Hearing Napoleon's statement that foundation of the "Great French Revolution" were justice and freedom, was unfamiliar with the word "freedom". But "justice" was too acquainted. The middle East had experienced the bloodiest wars under flag of justice.
Where is the origin of The middle east old hatreds? To get answer that question, Without hoping to find a definitive answer, I turned to the pre 1798 conflicts. Before the Orient became "the oriental question" for the West; Oh Yes! Before The New Middle East.
The photos in this collection are the Portrait of The Middle East, With no “WEST” interference.
