Those who are the COVID-19 Left behind
Being afflicted by other pathologies called co-morbidities, these patients like no other cannot be candidates to integrate an intensive care unit in the event of COVID-19 acute symptoms development. Already overloaded and with rare places available these units will be allocated to younger and healthier people with better chances of recovery.
And in this tumult of care that has become an emergency, slow down and spend a moment, even a small one, with these patients, some of them elderly, who sometimes only see current events through a veil of confusion.
Once again, they are always left behind by the system. For several weeks, I was able to work within teams of this establishment which fights in the shadow of large hospitals for patients, some of whom know they are condemned.
In 1998 I graduated with a Master in Biology of Animal Populations and Ecosystems (Claude Bernard University Lyon I - France) and I have been studying photography at a private school near Lyon (France).
Photography is a wonderful tool who can connect people immediately with the subject, without words and without the constraints of language. It is a very universal tool that has the added benefit of staying very large engraved in the memory much more efficiently than any of speeches.
I work with magazines, scientists, museums and Nature Conservation NGO’s and I am Associate Fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP).

about the photographer
I am a professional French wildlife and conservation photographer working on environmental and scientific projects. I am also an engaged conservationist with an insatiable curiosity for discovery and storytelling. I challenge myself to be both an artist and a scientist, both sensitive and rational at once. This blend reflects the spirit of my work.In 1998 I graduated with a Master in Biology of Animal Populations and Ecosystems (Claude Bernard University Lyon I - France) and I have been studying photography at a private school near Lyon (France).
