On February 11, 2020, riots broke out in Beirut. Young demonstrators tried to block parliament to prevent the formation of a new cabinet. For the first time, the government led the army against the demonstrators. Clashes took place, among others, in the ruins of ancient Roman buildings. Mass protests called the revolution started in October against sectarian rule, stagnant economy, unemployment, endemic corruption in the public sector in Lebanon.about the photographer
