entry description
The Hong Kong Extradition Bill which triggered the first protest was introduced in April. Hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets. After weeks of protests, the bill was finally withdrawn by Hong Kong Chief Executive. At the same time, the clashes between police and protesters had become more frequent and violent.
