entry description
Limes as a concept of border between distant realities. Limes is an imaginary, metaphysical place where the landscape becomes a concept. A place where traces of human passage harmoniously integrate with the surrounding nature. A place as a wish for a possible future. A border to get lost in. To learn.about the photographer
From the age of 4 he devoted himself to the study of the piano, from classical music to the most modern languages, up to the study of jazz music and the activity of a concert performer. After graduation, he moved to Catania, attended CESM (Centro Etneo Studi Musicali) master classes in jazz piano under the guidance of the pianist Osvaldo Corsaro. At the same time, given the strong creative impulse and the interest gained over the years for visual art and photography, he enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts, where he obtained his first level diploma in "Technological Arts", discussing a thesis on the links synesthetics between musicians and painters in contemporary arts. He graduated in the two-year course of Photography from the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania with an experimental thesis. He currently works as a photographer and curator with the Oelle Mediterraneo Antico Foundation and plays the role of photography expert with the teacher and author Carmelo Nicosia. The experiential relationship with a conceptual landscape is central in his projects, as well as issues related to the concept of territoriality and border, using different languages such as photography, video and installation. His projects have been exhibited in regional and national exhibitions.back to gallery
