Satoumi
I found these coastal landscapes in Normandy and Bretagne, France. I have made these photographs with a long exposure to emphasize the minimalistic setting that I always look for. The ocean is a source of inspiration, stress reduction and constant discovery for me and I hope for others as well. The sea is also an important element in the heritage of many cultures. Growing up nearby the sea it has certainly been the case for me.
I hope to create moments of quiet and wonder with my photography in a very busy and hectic world. Characteristic for my work is the tranquility of it. By searching for this tranquil composition I try to find my own peace of mind.

about the photographer
I am a photographer based in the Netherlands. My interest is in fine art photography with a focus on landscape photography, although I love to experiment with other forms as well, i.e still life and architecture. The photographs I make are minimalistic in form and are either made with soft pastel tones or in black and white.I hope to create moments of quiet and wonder with my photography in a very busy and hectic world. Characteristic for my work is the tranquility of it. By searching for this tranquil composition I try to find my own peace of mind.
