Entangled
Wikipedia
As the Western philosophy glorifies the idea of individualism, our differences at times overshadow the similarities.
In times of the rising fear of ‘other’ and international politics guided by the growing number of walls and borders, the awareness of our similitudes can remind us that we do know how to stay together. We are more than seven billion unique individuals living on Earth but our lives are all intertwined in the web of global human collective.
In this series of portraits we document the random encounters made with friends, siblings, spouses, relatives and spiritual companions. Through the portraits of these couples we propose to observe how two individuals can create the common shared space and reproduce the common patterns in their gestures, looks, behaviours, attitudes.
We want to praise the fact that two individuals can find the way of dialogue between them, through a long process of adaptation and natural mimicry. These photographs are a testimony that close contact can bridge the gaps of our differences.
Entangled is an ongoing project aimed at collecting a complex body of work. The collection will be available to the world in form of a digital archive, and maybe in a photo book.

entry description
Quantum entanglement is a quantum mechanical phenomenon in which the quantum states of two or more objects have to be described with reference to each other, even though the individual objects may be spatially separated.Wikipedia
