At this time I was shooting a reportage about stream restoration in the Netherlands for National Geographic NL magazine,. Conservationist put dead trees and branches in the streams to enhance natural flow dynamics. In autumn the leaves fall on the water surface and are taken by the current. Later they accumulate on spots with a lot of obstacles, creating small waterfalls. This becomes a hindrance for the water flow, and floodings are likely to happen. I photographed this underwater with long shutterspeeds to show the movement of the water.back to gallery
