entry description
This is one of the Roma ghettos in Bulgaria. Near the capital. There, the children live in misery, in rubbish and mud. Forgotten by God? No, forgotten by the state and society. Their problems are never on the agenda. They may wait. And so, day after day, year after year. These little gypsies, I met recently , told me how difficult life they have: poverty, unemployed parents, wooden huts instead of homes, illiteracy. To survive , most are forced to beg or steal. They are such young children but their eyes, apart from being childishly naive, kind and curious, are somehow mature and wise, but at the same time distrustful, on the alert. It shows the experience of the street and the struggle for survival.about the photographer
Why i started doing photography? Mostly because it is difficult and because i see a challenge. Nowadays everyone is a photographer. Everyone shoots with phones, cameras, tablets. Something mush more is required to stand out from the ocean of photos that floods us. You have to apply thought and skills, you have to be persistent and patient. I like such difficulties. They give meaning to our lives, because only the truly difficult thing we have overcome will someday bring us real joy and satisfaction. In my career as an actor, i have struggled for 20 years and continue to do it. But after meeting with the best directors, after performing in the biggest theaters and filming in the biggest productions, somehow it became easier for me. In photography, i start from scratch. In fact, i have always been shooting for as long as i can remember. I have always bought cameras, but the acting was a priority. In the last two years i walked into the ocean of photography, began to study and search. I drew up a path to follow, and i very much hope that it is interesting and exciting. That it will meet me with new people, and i will visit unknown places. I want to tour the other unconquered part of the world, this time with a camera. I will try to accommodate another serious occupation in my life.back to gallery
