What you see, are different perspectives of the foxglove. Many of them grow in the black forest, but mostly you just walk by without taking a closer look. Maybe this has to do with the fact, that german mothers teach their children from an early age to stay away from foxgloves, because they are highly poisonous. When I made this pictures, I had photographs of Karl BIossfeldt on my mind, so I took the colors away. The black and white shows us how beautiful the structures of this flowers are. They are not just pink. They are hairy, loved by (bumble) bees, have a natural symmetry, many blossoms and each of them is in some way different. With all of this, she seduced me to photograph her.
