I wish to describe this photograph with the words of the world-famous novelist Hermann Hesse: “I revere trees when they live in tribes and families, in forests and groves. And even more I revere them when they stand alone. They are like lonely persons. Not like hermits who have stolen away out of some weakness, but like great, solitary men. Nothing is holier, nothing is more exemplary than a beautiful, strong tree." Myself, I sometimes feel that trees affect us with certain invisible aural forces. That's why I wanted to emphasize such exprience with the post-production intervention.about the photographer
I am art photographer and university professor based in Maribor (Slovenia). So far, my biography includes 32 solo exhibitions, over 60 group exhibitions abroad and in Slovenia, 3 published books and several multimedia performances. I was selected twice in the programme of the Slovenian Month of the Photography Photonic Moments and the Festival of Photography Maribor and three times in the gallery selection for the Art Photo Budapest. His work is most distinguished by the unique landscape photography approach and visual research of urban space perspectives.back to gallery
