entry description
Living in the Bay area for 4 years, it was always on the bucket list to visit and photograph the fire fall event in Yosemite National Park. The fire fall event is actually happen at a waterfall called 'Horse tail falls'. Every year in February, the sun sets in specific angle that makes the water reflect the light and it looks like it is raining down fire. Naturally, this event is very popular for photographers and visitors. In fact, it has become very difficult to grab a permit for it. This year, however, COVID-19 prevented most tourists to travel towards the Yosemite park and it became a local photographer community event. After waiting for hours to find parking and the right spot, the event finally started to happen. But a big cloud moved in and it looked like the right picture might not happen, after all. Everybody started packing up. Then, in the very last minute, a small window opened and the rays hit the water in the spectacular way turning the water into an orange-red fire fall. This snapshot was taken right at this moment with the sun setting just seconds later for the final ending. Taken with a Canon 5DM4 w/ 100-400mm lens at 0.5s / f18 / ISO 100.about the photographer
