Reverie
I started thinking about how our way of seeing is always shaped by something we have experienced before, in ways that are unconscious and mysterious. These elusive yet ever present images coexist in our memory and are fundamental in framing our vision. I was intrigued to discover that a principle in physics, the superposition, describes a similar simultaneous coexistence of states at any given moment in time.
In the case of the reflections, these mental images are crystallised in a way I couldn’t control in the images I captured with my camera. This process is spontaneous and it relies on an attentive observation of the environment characteristic of street photography.
