entry description
Rosalyn Song is a multimedia artist specializing in visual and sound media. Her aural images and visual sounds incorporate traditional photographic methods and modern digital sound technologies to explore the boundary between the new and familiar, the abstract and real. Her focus is to discover a way to communicate with nature, both its fauna and flora components, as an equal entity to man. An artistic critique to mankind and its actions, her works aims to bring into discussion humanism’s exploitative nature and its resulting detrimental impact on the world, such as climate change and current pandemic.Rosalyn’s time during the current pandemic lock-down has given her the opportunity to consider the relationships between herself, therefore mankind’s, and the living things in her immediate surroundings, and her contemplation of the “language” through this connection.
