entry description
The examination of one's own origins and personal surroundings has always been a central theme of art. The series “ob–da–ich” is dedicated to show this ambivalent topic in a way only the photographic medium is capable of. The photographic parameters become part of the composition, obscuring the original subjects and contents of the image and thereby pushing them to the background. The focus is on photographically designed images that do not use role models, clichés or romanticization. This work deals with the question of what a place one calls “home” is and what it would like to represent by giving an insight into the everyday life of a place. The space depicted in this way is placed in new relationships both with itself and with the claim of the already diverse concept of home, which today is already occupied in many ways. The series consciously puts emphasis on the parameters of the photographic medium to create its subtle narrative.about the photographer
