title
Mara and resilience
Mara was an emergency delivery. She spent three months in an incubator, suffers from apnea, and has been resuscitated several times. After a visit to the infantile neuropsychiatry, she is found to have infantile cerebral palsy. This has caused her to have growth delays and permanent deficits.
In a Healthcare that considers these cases as protocols to follow, forgetting the singularity of each one, her parents decided to follow an alternative and innovative method to help Mara recover some vital functions.
Mara has positive experiences at school. She integrates well, thanks to the sensitivity of her classmates. They never treat her with pity, but accept her as one of their own.
Mara makes you understand how you can rejoice in simple things. What for us are trivial actions that we perform without thinking, for her they are all conquests. She knows how to smile at every little thing that happens to her.
I am constantly looking for new photographic languages.
