entry description
During Summer and into the Fall of 2020, the streets of Washington, DC were filled with soundtrack of peoples' protests and pain. Black Lives Matter Plaza was a hotspot for action and activism. I had to be there, down in the streets to bare witness and capture what might be the most significant pivot to the threat of our democracy.about the photographer
Robin Fader, based in Washington, DC, is a mom, an action junkie and multi-Emmy award-winning commercial producer and photographer. Happiest with camera in hand, Robin is a self-taught photographer. Her subjects range from tv personalities to protests, families to EDM music festivals. During Covid, Robin began shooting in the streets of DC, capturing MAGA rallies, protests against police brutality and life during covid. She is currently working a documentary, The Fence, about two women, who for four months risked their safety and health at a fence erected by Trump outside the White House. They took shifts sleeping outside to protect a growing gallery of protest art on the fence which was in constant threat of attack by white supremacists. thefencedocumentary.netback to gallery
